Interpreting

I offer interpreting services between Spanish and English including simultaneous (conference), consecutive, liaison, sight translation, and chuchotage (whispered) interpreting. These can be delivered either in-person in the UK or using online remote (video/telephone) interpreting modalities. Whilst I am open to requests of any kind, my main fields of specialisation are environmental sciences (climate change, renewable energies), court, healthcare, and social services (including asylum).

Who have I worked with before? I have collaborated with many organisations including the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the International Maritime Organization (IMO- pictured below), South/Central American embassies and diplomatic missions in the UK, Peacebuilding NGOs in South America, HSBC, the UK Home Office, UK Crown and County courts, the National Health Service and the social services, alongside many private clients, legal firms, and other initiatives.

Translation

On top of my usual English <> Spanish pair, I also offer translation services from French into English or Spanish. I have experience with a range of genres including technical (environmental/health sciences), literary (fiction), instructive (manuals) and promotional (marketing and transcreation). I am trained with several CAT tools such as Trados.

Machine Translation Post-Editing

From surface-level checking for comprehensibility to deeper editing for nuance, tone, or style, I have extensive experience with MTPE with both traditional MT engines and AI translations. My language combinations for this service are EN<>ES, FR>ES,EN.

Proofreading / editing

I have a keen eye for grammatical, stylistic, or spelling mistakes both in English and Spanish. Thus, I have extensive experience proofreading translations and English texts written by second-language users, as well as editing monolingual texts in both English and Spanish.
